About AVID

Well, what can I say about AVID?? LOL Yea it is a very hard program, and NO, not only smart students are in AVID. The reason why I am in AVID is simply the same reason as most other people, “Because my parents want me to be”. Well now, we all know that is not true, though we say it is. I’m not sure exactly why most of the people are in AVID, but I do know why I am.

What I think about AVID

Well we all know or have heard many people in the AVID program complain about how hard everything is. I even find myself whinning sometimes and saying “This is too hard, I don’t want to do it, I want to quit”. But then everytime, I think and remember why I commited to AVID... TO GET HELP! I needed the motivation to study harder, and to do all of my work.
I want to live all of my dreams that I have. And everyone knows that I am a very big dreamer. I want to become a leader, and I thought that the AVID program would help me change in many ways. Already since summer school, I noticed how my friends in AVID have changed. We are more into the idea about studying, but not quite all the way. We still like to have fun with friends instead of doing homework. I mean come on, when we have the chance to hang out with a really hot guy, who wants to stay home and study?? Certainly not me!
