We invite you to enjoy with us a few pictures of a little trip we did in the end of August 2004.
Most of the images are from a hike we did on the west side of the Grand Canyon.

The hike is called "Dripping Springs". To take it, follow "Hermit trail", up to "Dripping Springs trail" junction, then follow it up to "Boucher trail" junction. Form there follow "Dripping Springs trail".

"Dripping Springs" trail is a 6.5 miles hike (10.5 km) round trip.
Rim elevation at trailhead is 6640 ft (env. 2025m)
"Dripping Springs junction" is at an elevation of 5240 ft (env. 1600 m).
"Dripping Springs" is at an elevation of 5680 ft (env. 1730 m).

The view is literally breathtaking, as you will be walking on cliffs edges. The view is different from the popular "Bright Angel trail", here the path lay into narrow canyons.

This is a trail with little traffic, We never met anybody on this trail (I did it twice it in the past).

A few recommendations and warnings...
Gand Canyon national park recommendations and warnings are always the reference to read and trust.
Be sure to wear good hiking shoes.
a lot of water and some food, it is not a good idea to get dizzy at the edge of a cliff.
Have a good night of sleep before taking such a hike.
Be well prepared physically before considering it. If well prepared with a good equipment, hikers will hopefully enjoy it as much as we did.
Always read and follow the recommendations of the Grand Canyon national park service, for your convenience a link is provided on this page.
Read what others more experimented hikers have done.

For the reader convenience, a few relevant links are provided.
