The history of this telescope is quiet interesting. His builder found the base in a junkyeard. After a few inquiry, it seems this telescope was the city telescope of a close by twon (Redland if my memory is correct). His new owner refurbished it, then set it up on a trailer, to make it more transportable. The story of its realization has been published in "Sky and Telescope" magazine. Ce telescope a une histoire interessante. Son constructeur a trouve la base dans une decharge d'objets encombrant. Apres quelques recherche, ce telescope etait le telescope municipal d'une ville proche (Redland si je me souviens correctement). Son nouveau proprietaire, l'a restaure, puis installe sur une remorque afin de le rendre plus transportable. L'histoire de ca realisation, fut publiee dans le magazine "Sky and Telescope". |
